No one else has gone to the lengths we have to make earning your credit hours as effortless as possible. It’s really that simple.

So how do you make things easy?

Having to earn our own credit hours to renew our cosmetology license we know:

  • Not everyone has a computer. That’s why our site works on your smartphone, tablet or computer.
  • People are busy and don’t have hours at a time to sit down and take an online course. That’s why on our site you can save your progress every hour and pick up where you left off.
  • Providers can be slow to report course completions. That’s why we report your course completion right when you finish the course.

Does your site work on my smartphone or tablet?

Yes. The site was built from the ground up with mobile in mind.

Do I need to download an app?

No. Visit the site in your favorite mobile web browser such as Chrome, Firefox, or Safari.

Is there a test or a quiz that I have to pass?

Each lesson has a six-question quiz. You can retake each one as many times as you like.

Do your Ohio Barber and Cosmetology courses have a timer?

Yes. Ohio State Law requires that all online barber and cosmetology continuing education courses contain a timer to ensure that each learner spends one hour in each lesson. Report any providers who do not have a timer or have a timer set for less than one hour to the Ohio State Board (see the footer at the bottom of their page).

How do I prevent the timer from resetting?

The lesson timer is only active when the device is in use. The timer pauses when switching apps or when the smartphone or tablet “locks” or “times out.” Adjust your “auto lock” or “screen timeout” setting on your device.

Here are steps for common smartphones:

  • Apple: Adjust the “auto lock” on Apple devices by going to Settings > Display & Brightness > Auto-Lock
  • Android: Adjust the “screen timeout” on Android devices by going to Settings->Display->Screen timeout.

How do I pause and resume my course?

Each time you click “Save Progress and Continue” at the end of a lesson your progress is saved. When you leave and log back in later, click “My Courses” in the top menu and then click the “Resume” button to start the course at the next quiz or lesson.

Do I need to send my certificate to the Ohio State Board?

No. Your course completion is reported automatically through our integration with CEBroker, the electronic system used by Ohio for reporting continuing education credit hours.

Can the courses apply to my amnesty hours to help restore an inactive license?

Yes they can.

Can I take a course more than once?

No. You can only earn credit for a course one time during the license renewal period.

What should I do if I need help signing in with my ID and password?

The ID is your email address and the password is whatever you set during checkout. Use the “Forgot Password” link under the login form to reset your password or click here. If you still need assistance contact us using the Support form here.
