Register a New Elicense Account

Ohio manages cosmetology license renewals through the “eLicense” system. If you’ve renewed your license before you probably already have a Ohio eLicense account. But if not, we got you.

Take the following steps to register an eLicense account:

  1. Go to https://elicense.ohio.gov
  2. Click Log In in the top right.
  3. Click the I HAVE A LICENSE button.
  4. Fill out the fields and input the registration code that the State emailed you.

NOTE: Can’t find the email with the registration code? Click the OBTAIN SECURITY CODE button.

  1. Click SUBMIT to complete your registration. You should be taken to a page listing your license(s).
